How Our Classes Work
At Jennellepee Art School, our classes run year-round, so students can join and continue learning at any time of the year. Classes meet once a week or twice a week and are designed to fit comfortably into busy schedules while giving students time to develop their skills and creativity.
Our class session is 1.5 (for 3-5 years old students) or 2 hours long (for 6+ years old students), providing plenty of time for individualized instruction and focused creative work. We offer flexible, pay-as-you-go pricing:
4 classes (once a week) / month
8 classes (twice a week) / month
This package gives you a full month of classes, one/two session(s) per week. Students can renew their package monthly to keep growing at their own pace.
Mini Artists (ages 3-5)
A playful and nurturing introduction to art for our youngest creators. Mini Artists explore color, shape, and texture through hands-on activities like finger painting, simple brushwork, and large-scale drawing. Each class blends art with storytelling, songs, and sensory play to keep little ones engaged while building fine motor skills, focus, and creativity. Projects are process-oriented, so children enjoy the joy of making without pressure for perfection.
Junior Artists (ages 6-8)
A fun and supportive step into more structured art-making for early elementary students. Junior Artists learn foundational drawing and painting skills — from mixing colors to sketching simple forms — while creating projects inspired by animals, nature, cartoons, and their own imagination. Classes encourage exploration and skill-building in a relaxed setting, helping kids gain confidence, patience, and pride in their creations.
Tween Artists (ages 9-12)
For independent young artists ready to expand their abilities and develop their own style. Tween Artists dive deeper into techniques like shading, proportion, perspective, and mixed-media layering. They work on more detailed projects, balancing guided instruction with creative freedom to explore personal interests — whether it’s fantasy worlds, realistic portraits, or bold abstract pieces. This is a space for building skills, creative problem-solving, and self-expression.
Teen Artists (ages 13–18)
A space for young creatives to refine their skills, develop a personal style, and express their unique voice through art. Teen Artists work with a variety of mediums — from graphite and acrylics to mixed media — exploring both classical techniques and modern approaches. Projects are tailored to student interests, whether building a portfolio for college, mastering realism, or pushing boundaries in experimental art. Classes balance technical instruction with the freedom to take creative risks, encouraging growth, confidence, and self-expression.
Adult (ages 18+)
An inspiring and supportive environment for adults at any skill level — from absolute beginners to seasoned creators looking to reignite their passion. Adult Artists can focus on their chosen medium or explore new ones, with individualized guidance to meet personal goals. Whether you’re seeking a mindful creative outlet, skill advancement, or preparation for exhibitions, this class offers a space to learn, experiment, and connect with a community of fellow art enthusiasts.
